Although PowerPoint is not the first program you think of using as a designer it has proven to be a useful tool for most companies. How you present yourself can change the way you sell, educate, and enhance your brand. As a designer I have often been tasked with taking an assortment of information and cleaning it up to be seamless presentation. It takes time and creative thinking to solve for the challenges of taking a basic PowerPoint template and making it into a experience for the viewer. I often pay attention to modern trends that may help with building a sales or brand deck for IRONMAN. In this example our partnerships team was looking to showcase how a sponsor can be incorporated into IRONMAN’s portfolio of sports. Since IRONMAN is no longer just a triathlon sport using divider slides that are color coordinated for each sport or project was important. Also using a highlighted dot system so the viewer would know how many steps each section contained helped keep the flow of the presentation. There are transition slides added that were more visual graphics to keep the presentation from being to static. These also helped break up the content on text heavy sections. All of the slides were primarily built within PowerPoint so that the sales team could edit as needed. I also provided design elements that they could drop in and would help keep the look and feel consistent for any additional slides.
The example I have shown is not the full suite but just a sampling of how this presentation’s layout.
